Winneconne is proud to be the home of some of Winnebago County's more prominent manufacturing companies.  Among these "Corporate Citizens" are Multi-Conveyor, LLC, Valley Vinyl Products, Proto-1Manufacturing, Avalon Papers, LLC, Historic Floors of Oshkosh, Inc. and Chief Industrial Services.  The Village of Winneconne is also a regional finance center, home to three banks plus other diversified financial and insurance services. Winneconne's Village Board of Trustees together with the Village Industrial Development Board have planned carefully and well to provide for the community's growth and welfare.

The Village of Winneconne and the Winneconne Industrial Development Board have a long tradition of economic development activity in Northeast Wisconsin.  Land in Sovereign State Industrial Park is ready to build with all infrastructure in place.  The Park is located within a tax increment finance district (TIF) and, as such, features prime industrial sites at a highly competitive prices.  All lots are improved to include sanitary and storm sewer, water, gas,     and 3 phase electric utilities.

The Village of Winneconne welcomes and encourages business expansion and industrial development within the Village.  We stand ready  to assist your business in obtaining financial assistance to build or expand through such programs as:

  • · Business Development Loan Program which encourages commercial industrial development within the Village for the purpose of job creation and job retention.  Loan amounts will are based on availability of local program funds.  Eligible activities include the acquisition of land, construction of buildings and improvements and the acquisition of fixed equipment.

  • · Industrial Revenue Bonds through which the Village of Winneconne will support eligible projects through the issuance of tax exempt IRBs.

  • · Tax Incremental Financing to accommodate and support new industrial and commercial development projects.

  • · Various Other Programs in which the Village of Winneconne will act as a facilitator with agencies such as the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, Wisconsin Department of Transportation , and other agencies to help businesses obtain financial assistance.
