Director of Public Works – Village of Winneconne, Wisconsin

The Village of Winneconne, Wisconsin (population 2,516), is a growing, historic community located along the Wolf River and has recently completed a $2M downtown streetscape.  The Public Works Department includes the following departments and functions:  Water and Sewer, Streets, Sanitation (contracted), Cemetery, Facilities Management and Fleet Services.  The Department has a combined budget of approximately $1,900,000 and employs 8 FTE. The Village of Winneconne will be experiencing substantial growth pressures through residential, commercial and industrial growth within its own boundaries and through annexation.  The Village is seeking candidates with a record of significant accomplishment in a full-service community that offers a full range of public works services.  Candidates must have five to ten years increasingly responsible experience in an upper management position.  Strong skills and/or experience in effective service delivery, creative problem solving, public presentations in a team-management orientation and supervision are required.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential. 

The position is appointed by the Village Board and is operationally and administratively accountable to the Village Administrator. Salary range: $50,000 - $56,000.00 DOQ.  Position open until filled.
