Village Administrator
The Village Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer of the Village and is appointed by a two-thirds majority vote of the Village Board based on merit, experience, and leadership ability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all departments and daily municipal operations
- Implementing policies and directives of the Village Board
- Preparing the annual budget and monitoring fiscal health
- Acting as a liaison between the Village and county, state, and federal agencies
- Supporting long-term planning and economic development initiatives
- Serving as the public information officer for the Village
The Administrator is responsible solely to the Village President and the Board and operates under the authority of Wisconsin Statutes, Village Ordinances, and Board directives.
Village Clerk
The Village Clerk is the official record keeper for the Village of Winneconne and a vital point of contact between the public and local government.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining official records such as meeting minutes, ordinances, resolutions, and contracts
- Publishing legal notices and ensuring public transparency
- Managing election administration and voter registration
- Processing permits, licenses, and applications
- Responding to public records requests and resident inquiries
- Coordinating Open Book and Board of Review sessions
The Clerk ensures compliance with Wisconsin Statutes, Village Ordinances, and directives from the Village Board. The Clerk also supervises assistants and deputies as needed.

Village Treasurer
The Village Treasurer acts as the chief financial officer for the Village, responsible for managing all municipal funds and ensuring fiscal accountability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting and recording property taxes, utility payments, and other revenues
- Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports
- Overseeing investments and monitoring account balances
- Preparing financial statements in accordance with regulations
- Supporting the annual audit process
- Coordinating with the Administrator on budgeting and planning
The Treasurer reports directly to the Village Administrator and fulfills duties as defined by Wisconsin Statutes, Village Ordinances, and the Village Board.

Public Works Director
The Public Works Director manages the maintenance and operation of Village infrastructure and public services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing streets, stormwater systems, and water and sewer utilities
- Managing public works staff and equipment
- Planning and implementing infrastructure improvements
- Coordinating seasonal maintenance, snow removal, and repairs
- Ensuring compliance with state and environmental regulations
The Public Works Director works closely with the Administrator and Village Board to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable municipal services.
Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative in the Village of Winneconne serves as a front-line point of contact for residents, visitors, and others interacting with Village services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Answer phones, emails, and in-person inquiries in a courteous and professional manner
- Provide accurate information regarding Village services, programs, and procedures
- Assist residents with applications, permits, licenses, and forms
- Route requests and concerns to the appropriate Village department or staff
- Support administrative tasks and special projects
