School Resource Officer

In 2019, Officer Honer from the Winneconne Police Department started a new position as the School Resource Officer for the Winneconne School District. After the Winneconne School Board and the Village Public Safety Committee agreed that it would be in everyone's best interest to have an SRO full-time at the schools, Officer Honer was assigned to that position. Part of the reason to put him at the schools was to handle all incidents involving any ordinance or criminal violations. Officer Honer is doing much more than handling violations, he is building positive relationships with the students, faculty and parents Office Honer is at all three schools daily.
