Village of Winneconne Curbside Leaf Pickup Service – Fall 2026
The Village of Winneconne will offer curbside leaf pickup during October and November 2026, in accordance with Ordinance 259.1, passed at the July 18, 2023 Village Board meeting. This service provides a safe, environmentally friendly alternative to burning leaves.
Leaf Pickup Guidelines
- Leaves must be placed in paper yard waste bags only. Plastic or non-biodegradable bags will not be collected.
- Bags should be placed curbside on the terrace in areas with curb and gutter.
- Do not place bags in the street, gutter, or roadway.
- For properties with drainage ditches, place bags on the driveway apron or within the right-of-way along the street.
- Bags may contain only leaves, grasses, and yard/garden debris. Do not include trash, sticks, or other materials.
- Place bags street-side by 8:00 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day.
- Bags placed after 8:00 a.m. may not be collected until the next scheduled pickup.
- Keep bags accessible and do not block sidewalks or driveways.
Pickup Schedule
Service runs from the week of October 1 through the last week of November 2026.
- Wednesdays: West side of the Village, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Thursdays: East side of the Village, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Additional Information
- This program helps reduce air pollution and fire hazards associated with leaf burning.
- Residents may also use the Village Compost Site, open April 1 through November 30, 2026.
- Large item drop-off weeks at the Compost Site: April 6th – 10th and November 2nd – 6th, 2026.
